Pole Butte Sno-Park

The Pole Butte Sno-Park area is located on Forest Road 2916 out of Silver Lake. It is a semi-remote location providing access to 8 miles of cross-country ski trails and 15 miles of snowmobile trails, both marked. There is a marked route to the Fremont Point Cabin. There is parking room for 2-4 vehicles at the sno-park, but no outhouse. The season runs from December to April.

The Quartz Mountain Sno-Park

The Quartz Mountain Sno-Park is located about 25 miles to the west of Lakeview along HWY 140. The trails are maintained between December and March. There is a parking area with room for trailer turnaround, an outhouse and signed trail directions. In this area there are 21 miles of cross-country trails and 67 miles of snowmobile trails, both marked. An Oregon State Sno-Park parking permit is required.

Warner Canyon Ski Area

The Warner Canyon Ski Area is located on HWY 140 about 10 miles north of Lakeview. It is open from December through March, depending on the snow pack. Its facilities include a T-bar lift of 700 vertical feet, a snowplay area, and a day-use ski lodge with a fireplace, restrooms and a snack bar/restaurant. There are numerous trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in addition to the downhill slopes. Rentals are available.

The ski area is operated by the Fremont Highlander Ski Club, a non-profit organization, and is owned by Lake County. It is an Oregon State Sno-Park and a parking permit is required (an Oregon State Sno-Park Permit).
